Creating a safe and healthy community requires commitment and partnership from many sectors, including: government, police, the criminal justice system, community and faith-based groups, businesses, foundations, as well as the medical and mental health agencies. CAFY reaches out to various individuals and groups from these sectors to help raise awareness about crime as a pubic issue, serve victims of crime, and to educate on the impacts of trauma on our citizens. CAFY seeks to copartner on projects to offer support, training, and community education which can strengthen our ability to provide safety and reassurance to victims designed to reduce the spread of violence and meet the needs of victims regardless of age.
We need your help to reach the individuals, families, and communities of
Prince George's County because crime hurts all of us. It does not segregate
based on race, age or ethnic group. Regardless of your affiliation, regardless
of the community or population you serve, we are all vulnerable and affected by
crime and violence today. It is essential we educate and inform and provide the
right tools to help people speak out against crime so that they may become survivors
and heighten our county's health, well-being and safety.
For those who wish to become involved and partner with CAFY, please contact our executive director at 301-390-4092.
