Victim Advisory Council
CAFY Victim Advisory Council (CVAC) exists to collaborate with citizens, victims, survivors and other providers help to validate victim services needed and offered in Prince George’s County.
This Advisory Council helps create the best possible network of services for all victims of crime by:
The Council is made up of volunteers from the community who want to helps ensure Community Advocates for Family & Youth procedures, services and outreach are responsive to the concerns of crime victims and their families. CAFY seeks to empower victims by offering this opportunity for involvement.
The council seeks to have a minimum of five (5) survivors of crime or their family and five (5) members from communities within the county. The Council seeks to represent the diversity of crime in our community, in terms of gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, physical and mental ability, racial and ethnic background, and experience. We ask for a one year commitment to the council.
